A game with no ending — and no reason to stop

Minecraft parental controls that limit the game itself, not the whole computer. A daily limit, a schedule and the real playtime — on Windows and Android, without banning it outright.

The game never produced a natural moment to stop.

Why this happens

Why they can’t stop on their own

Minecraft has no final scene and no level where a child can say “done”. The world just keeps going, and so does the play. A computer in their own room plus a game with no edges is how it becomes three in the morning.

The answer isn’t a ban — it’s an outside edge the child doesn’t have to find themselves.

What worries parents

Third-party servers

Public servers can include voice chat, unknown players and rules that vary from one community to another.

Mods from outside the store

Modpacks often arrive as files from third-party sites, so the source matters as much as the mod itself.

No stopping point

No ending, no “you won”. The child does not find a place to stop, so the evening does not either.

What Gardion does

Boundaries, not a ban

We limit Minecraft itself, not the whole computer. Homework and drawing don’t eat the limit. And we never read chats.

  • A limit on the game itself

Forty minutes of Minecraft a day. Time is up, the game closes, everything else keeps working.

  • Block on a schedule

Closed during school hours and after bedtime. At night it simply will not launch.

  • See how long they played

Exact minutes for today and the week — instead of arguing about “only a little”.

  • On the PC and the phone

Minecraft runs on both, and the limit is shared and set in one place.

Questions parents ask

Can I limit only Minecraft, not the whole computer?

Yes. The limit is on the app itself. Homework, drawing and calls keep working; only Minecraft counts down.

Does it work on both the PC and the phone?

Yes. The limit and schedule cover Windows and Android from one account.

Do you read the chats on servers?

No. We do not look into server chats. Gardion controls time and access only.

Minecraft mostly lives on the computer — see parental controls on Windows. Another endless world is Roblox.
